Kirkcaldy Beach Highland Games, 08/06/2019
The UK’s only Highland Games to be held on a beach will return to Kirkcaldy this summer. The games bring thousands of spectators to Kirkcaldy’s Waterfront to enjoy a day of family fun, sport, entertainment, activities and food and drink.
The programme for this year’s event will include a parade and pipe band, highland dancing, kid’s races and a full athletics programme. To top it off, the grand finale will be an exciting closing ceremony which will take place in front of the stunning backdrop of the Firth of Forth.

Crail Food Festival – 08/06/2019 – 09/06/2019
Crail Food Festival returns this year to Crail Town Hall and Beech Walk Park to showcase a wide range of some of the very best food and drink providers in one of Fife’s most picturesque fishing villages. As the theme of this year’s festival is ‘picnic’, all guests will be invited to sample some of the food and drink available to purchase at the festival and to enjoy their lunch in and around the village. All musicians and those with musical talent are invited to take part in the ‘open air open mic’
event at the Beech Walk Park, so don’t forget to pack your picnic blanket and guitar!

Cupar Arts: Eden, 15/06/2019 – 23/06/2019
Cupar Arts Eden will again return to the rural town of Cupar to showcase a fantastic selection art, music, comedy and theatre throughout the former royal burgh. This year, Cupar Arts will be
producing a map to guide visitors around the town during the festival. The core venue, Cupar Corn Exchange, will feature work from artist Celie Byrne and comedian Phill Jupitus.

There will be many more exciting activities taking place including music from The Pictish Trail and Coaltown Daisies, a Midsummer Ceilidh, a magic show starring international, award-winning, Liam A. Black and the Scottish Opera’s pop-up roadshow featuring scenes from Iolanthe and The Magic Flute.

East Neuk Festival 26/06/2019 – 30/06/2019
The East Neuk Festival showcases a wide range of classical, jazz, roots and world music across various scenic coastal villages, often in unusual and charming venues. This year, the programme includes the Colin Currie Quartet, Belcea Quartet, Catrin Finch & Seckou Keita and much more. There will also be free events taking place during the festival, including a family-friendly garden party with pop-up live music and maze at the Kellie Castle drying green as well as an art installation in the castle meadows.

Anstruther Harbour Festival 19/07/2019 – 21/07/2019
Come along and enjoy three days of fun and entertainment at the Anstruther Harbour Festival which will once again host the Anster Fair, live music, street theatre and food and drink. This year, the Dunedin International Folk Dance Festival will take place on the Friday as well as at Scottish traditional ceilidh. The Anstruther Muster and Classic Boat Rally will be back during the festival, bringing life and colour to the waterfront!

Largo Arts Week 19/07/2019 – 28/07/2019
Largo Arts Week is a new and exciting addition to the Fife events calendar, opening the doors of artist studios, showcasing art exhibitions, music performances, workshops, street food, talks and family events.
The line-up includes a wide range of fantastic local artists including David Mach, music and talks from James Yorkston, Rab Noakes, Withered Hand, Richard Jobson, Mairi Campbell, comedian Phill

Pittenweem Arts Festival – 03/08/2019 – 11/08/2019
Pittenweem Arts Festival takes place over nine days and hosts 100 exhibitions in galleries, homes, studios and public venues from artists all around Britain as well as hosting a full programme of talks, workshops and music. Internationally acclaimed artists are invited to exhibit their work, attracting thousands of visitors to this attractive coastal village every year. Invited artists this year include Allan Black, Avril Cunningham, Gail Duncan and Paul Bartlett.

Defend Fife, 03/08/2019 – 04/08/2019, Pittencrieff Park, Dunfermline
Get ready for the return of East Scotland’s best military festival, Defend Fife! Defend Fife explores the history of Dunfermline and East Scotland when preparing for an invasion during the Second World War. This year, the festival theme will be around the 1940 defenders of Fife and there will be indoor exhibitions taking place at the Glen Pavilion as well as a tea dance, military re-enactments and an exciting range of family activities.


Women’s Tour of Scotland (Stage 1) – 09/08/2019

The Women’s Tour of Scotland is a new and permanent fixture in the professional cycling calendar. The world-class cycling race, which covers 350km across Scotland’s central belt, will invite up to 20 elite teams from across the globe to complete. Stage 1 will see the cyclists race through Fife, showcasing stunning rural scenery running through Cupar and North East Fife and finishing in Dunfermline’s Pittencrieff Park. The tour has support from both Kate Archibald, MBE and Fifer, Eileen Rowe and will support Scotland’s aim to become one of the world’s finest cycling destinations. Come along to witness a world class sporting event up close
and cheer on the participants!


Outwith Festival – 03/09/2019 – 08/09/2019
Outwith Festival is a 7-day long arts festival which takes place throughout various venues in Dunfermline. A wide range of musicians, comedians, writers and artists are invited to the town to host a series of concerts, exhibitions, workshops and Q&As over the duration of the festival. The festival, which has been growing rapidly year on year, hosted over 120 events in 2018 and are set to bring another hugely exciting programme to Scotland’s ancient capital again this year.
