The much anticipated ‘Go Ape’ launched at Dalkeith Country Park at the beginning of July and is now open for bookings. Get ready for tree top adventures, adrenaline rushes and spectacular views as you whizz down those zip lines. And it’s not just the grown-ups that can have all the fun – Go Ape is introducing its first Scottish Treetop Adventure course for children over 1m tall.

Restoration Yard


This summer we’re pulling back the curtain to Meet the Makers behind the delicious produce in the Foodhall. With tons of producers supplying the best of local food and drink, we thought it was time you met some of the creators behind the brands. From local gin distilleries and hand-made doughnuts to the best of beer and fiery Scottish sauces there will be something to please everyone’s taste buds.

Dalkeith Country Park is set to open its gates to camping this August for a great summer getaway to remember. Whether you’re a boots or sandals type of person, fancy a two-hour hike or leisurely amble in the countryside with a picnic, the Park is the place to get outside and enjoy the great outdoors. The 1,000-acre estate will host its rural camping experience with a 60-pitch campsite set in a picturesque location next to the River Esk. The dog-friendly campsite offers small, medium and large pitches as well pre-pitched tents for a minimum of two-night stays.

Let's Rock


Scotland’s favourite family-friendly rock festival returns to Dalkeith Country Park on Saturday 28 August with a fabulous line-up of artists to bring you back in time to the very best of the 80s! This year’s ‘Let’s Rock’ line-up keeps getting better and better, with confirmed acts including: Adam Ant, Lulu, Tony Hadley, ABC, Howard Jones, Heather Small, Go West, Nik Kershaw and many more. With a wide variety of food on offer, including a large BBQ, Indian, Mexican and Chinese, there’ll be plenty for everyone at this family-friendly festival.

Whether it’s family fun that you’re after, competing against your friends, or pitting yourself against colleagues, look no further than the spectacular, world-class inflatable obstacle course – The Labyrinth Challenge – which returns to Dalkeith Country Park from 11-12 September. The Labyrinth Challenge is brilliant entertainment for both adults and children over 1.2m tall.  At more than 1,000ft in length, the course is packed with hilarious challenges and obstacles like slides, balance beams, hurdles and more. The aim? To get through it as quickly as possible if you’re feeling fit! If not, just go at your own speed – a leisurely pace is just fine too.

Food Festival


Dalkeith Country Park is delighted to welcome The Great British Food Festival to the Palace lawn from  11-12 September. More than ‘just another food festival’ The Great British Food Festival combines the nation’s love of great food and drink with the country’s most treasured locations. The GBFF provides a unique opportunity to explore new flavours and beautiful venues, all at the same time! The main chef demo area hosts great local and tv chefs. This year we are also incorporating demos in baking, drinks tasters and tips to grow your own food! All demos are free (as part of your admission ticket) to enter so everyone can pick up top tips. There are also regular Artisan Foodie talks, the Great British Cake off and lots of FREE kids’ entertainment!
